- How many beds do you have?

- How can I arrange a tour?
-
You can call the admissions department to set up a tour. The office is open Monday – Friday from 8:00am-4:30 pm.

- Do you have house doctors who follow here?
-
- Each resident is required to have a doctor follow them while they are here.
- We have Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who are clinic assigned that follow residents are our facility.
- Their primary doctor can follow them by phone and go out for appointments or we can assign a physician to them.

- Do I need a Physical Exam by my doctor before I admit to North Ridge?

- Yes. The state regulations require that a history and physical be completed no more than 5 days prior to admission.
- If a resident admits from the hospital, the hospital physician will complete all of the necessary paperwork prior to the resident admitting to North Ridge.

- Is there 24 hour nursing coverage?

Yes. Each unit is staffed with RN's, LPN's, TMA's and Nursing Assistants.

- Do I have to complete any paperwork?
-
- Yes. Prior to admission to the facility, you are required to complete an admission application which asks for demographic information. This is typically completed over the phone with a family member or the resident who will be admitting to the facility.
- Upon admission there will be additional documents that will need to be signed. Once admitted you can schedule an appointment with the business office or admissions to complete all necessary paperwork.

- Can we bring in the resident's medications?

- No. We will provide all of the resident's medications through Omnicare pharmacy if they are on Medicare Coverage
- Medications must be in unit dose packaging. Merwyn's and Omnicare pharmacy deliver to North Ridge.

- Do you offer therapy and how often?

- We will follow the orders prescribed by the physician
- Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy
- Physical and Occupational therapy are on M-F
- On Weekends- Physical (Sat) Occupational (Sun)

- Does my room come with any furnishings?

- Each room comes with a hospital size bed
- There is a night stand by the bed
- All linens are provided on the bed

- Do you supply televisions and telephones?
-
- There are televisions and telephones at no additional cost in each room on the transitional care units.
- All other units the family can bring in a 13 in. television (Any bigger has to be approved by the nursing supervisor on the floor.)
- Telephones are available upon request. There is a $30 installation fee and a $25 monthly charge.

- What are visitation hours?

10 AM - 10 PM (Hours can be flexible)

- Can pets visit?

Pets must be on a leash and have updated shots

- Can I check my Emails while I am at North Ridge?

Yes. There are computers available for your use in our activity room. We have wireless internet available throughout the facility.

- What are your rates?
-
- Our rates are established by the State of Minnesota and are based on the individuals care needs. There are 36 different rates that range from $171.76-$328.30.
- Those who are admitted on a private pay basis are required to pay a 15 day prepayment.

- What is the cost of a private room?
-
- Private room with a Shared bath costs $20.00 per day. We do require a 15 day prepayment of $300.00 upon admission.
- Private room with a Private bath costs $30.00 per day. we do require a 15 day prepayment of $450.00 upon admission.

- Will insurance cover my stay?
-
- Medicare and some insurances may cover the stay if specific criteria is met.
- The business office and Medicare nurses will verify coverage.

- What if I don't have the funds to pay for my stay?
-
We do accept Medical Assistance, which is a county based program. Our business office has all of the forms you will need to apply for medical assistance.

- Do you take Long Term Care Insurance?
-
Yes. Every policy is different. We do request upon admission that you would give a copy of the Long term care insurance to our business office.

- What if I come in short term and I am not able to discharge?
-
- The multi disciplinary team will assist with discharge options.
- You may move to another area of the facility.
